Managing director Mark Ely has been in golf construction for 40 years. Over this time, Mark has worked on 3 open venues: Turnberry, Hoylake and Royal Troon and remodelled many classic Colt and Simpson courses back to their original shapes. Working with such renowned architects, Mark has learned all aspects of shaping with different soils and together with understanding the vision of the architects he and his team are able to produce quality work on time and in budget.

Architects ideas for green and bunker construction have changed over time, Mark and his team have a wealth of experience building all types of green shapes and bunkers with smooth re-vetted edges as well as natural wind blown edges. Mark and his team also have a wealth of experience shaping the base work for the modern synthetic greens and have worked with some of the leading synthetic companies over the years. To complement the work on the greens and bunkers, Mark has invested in laser guided machinery to create perfectly level teeing grounds.
